Character past/History:
Seymour's life began in a simple middle class home. His father was a well seasoned traveler and had actually met his mother when he was visiting the neighboring country. It was a sweeping romance which brough them back to his father's home city of Gilgamesh. Seymour was born only a year after their wedding. Seymour was very close to his mother and the first 7 years of his life he hung onto her apron-strings at every moment.

Unfortunately, this was not to last. Due to the impending war the small town that he lived in outside of the city, which showed his mother nothing but kindness in the begining, turned on her. One night as he slept, villagers stormed the house and led his mother outside. His father was held in the house by some of the town leaders as Seymour slipped out to chase after the mob. They carried her into an alleyway and unknown to them Seymour watched from the shadows as they stoned her to death.

He and his father were driven out of town with only the mere clothes on their back and wandered into the main city. One night while taking refuge a Yevon temple, his father felt that perhaps he had sinned against the creator when he married Seymour's mother and that is why misfortune had fallen upon them. He decided there and then that he and Seymour would work for the church in order to repay for their sins. Seymour, confused still as to what had happened to his mother, buried himself into the teachings and stories of Yevon, searching for the answers as to how this had happened.

As the years past Seymour and his father became trusted priests, though Seymour was very shy and silent he continued his studies and did not let his emotions about his mother resurface. Though one late night, he came upon a old tome of stories about Yevon. As he read he came across the story of Yevon's battle against the God of Darkness, SIN. He read of how SIN had wanted to lead the children of darkness out of the hells and how Yevon had rejected them for they were tainted by they're past lusts of the material world. This was an epiphany to the young Seymour, perhaps he too was one of the children of these dark people and therefore that is why his mother had been killed.

Seymour from that moment developed a sort of Jekyll and Hyde personality. He wanted only one thing, to gain the dark powers that SIN had bestoed upon his "people". He wanted to take over the city and regain it in revenge for the crimes against his mother. By day he drew in the multitudes with talks of Yevon's hope, at night he continued to search for every scrap of information on SIN. Joining the Organization to gain the materials needed to carry out the dark rituals to gain even the slightest powers of SIN.

The more he learned the more he realized his first act of vengence must be bestowed upon his coward of a father. As his father slept one night he crept into his room and slowly smothered him to death, chanting the versus of Yevon's book which warned of SIN's wrath. It was a moment in which Seymour felt the powers of darkness meld into his flesh, he was finally going to acheive his goals of domination.
